The Park Market kicks off at Umm Al Emarat Park

With a variety of unique products, activities and events

Abu Dhabi, 07 December 2021: Umm Al Emarat Park kicked off the very first edition of its alfresco market, The Park Market, set to take place every Friday and Saturday until the end of March.

Launched on 2 December 2021 with around 24 participating retailers, the Park Market brings the community together to experience a fun family day out filled with local food, goods and entertainment. Through its partnership with Silal Fresh, Abu Dhabi’s new fresh produce and agritech company, the Park Market will offer locally grown organic fruits and vegetables to further create value for local produce, uplift local farmers, and promote sustainable shopping.

Visitors can also look forward to experiencing a variety of food dining options and enjoy homemade retail items such as unique hand-crafted items for the home, boutique fashion for adults and children, and bespoke jewelry. Healthy panel discussions, art exhibitions, family-friendly entertainment, fitness and wellness classes, as well as artists, designers, and local talents that will showcase their artistry are all on the Park Market calendar to make sure there’s lots of fun for everyone to go around!

Rasha Kablawi, Head of Umm Al Emarat Park’s Corporate Affairs and Communication Department said: “With the cooler weather making its way to the UAE, friends and families now seek to spend most of their leisure time outdoors, which is why we are very excited to host our very own outdoor Park Market in collaboration with Silal Fresh. One of Silal’s main pillars is to drive the UAE’s long-term sustainability agenda, which aligns closely with our ethos as a green haven in the center of Abu Dhabi, and therefore makes this collaboration a perfect fit.”

Kablawi added: “The Park Market follows an all-organic approach with naturally grown and raised produce that come straight from local organic farmers. Additionally, sustainable pop-up boutiques, arts and crafts stations and child-friendly entertainment are part of the program to delight visitors of all ages.”
