Umm Al Emarat Park’s ‘Park Market’ celebrates a successful season over 20 weekends

Abu Dhabi, 18, May 2023: After a successful season spanning 20 weekends at Umm Al Emarat Park, the much beloved Park Market officially came to an end last month. A weekly staple for the community in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s favorite green destination, the Park Market featured a variety of family-friendly activities, initiatives and exciting community events.

Throughout the season, which ran from November 2022 until March 2023, Umm Al Emarat Park hosted 140 different Park Market activities, including wellness and fitness initiatives, entertaining shows, art workshops, concerts, live performances and more. A true community destination, Umm Al Emarat Park offered 95 of these activities free of charge. This was possible thanks to the generosity of the Park Market’s partners and vendors. During March, the Park celebrated several notable occasions including Mother’s Day and the UAE’s Month of Reading by hosting a series of activities which welcomed guests of all ages. In line with these celebrations, Umm Al Emarat Park generously donated 515 free books to visitors. 

The success of the Park Market was made possible by the hard work of 56 dedicated volunteers and the support of 68 local vendors who provided their services and showcased their unique businesses. From organic produce to local food, to handicrafts, homemade goods and even fun activities for the whole family, there was no shortage of unique concepts in store during this season of the Park Market. To show their appreciation to the community, the market’s vendors also gave away over 1000 exciting prizes to visitors over the course of the season.

This unique homegrown event has underscored the important role that local businesses and entrepreneurs play a huge role in bringing the community together.”
